Second Wind will be holding callbacks/auditions for MEADOWLAND by Ian Walker on Sunday, October 19th. Auditions are by appointment only. We're looking for two Asian females (20-30 years of age) and seven Asian males (20-55 years).

PERFORMANCES: January 9th-31st. A Thursday - Saturday evening, Sunday matinee schedule.

STIPEND: We're offering a $200 stipend.

REHEARSALS/PERFORMANCE: Rehearsals for MEADOWLAND will be in San Francisco; we rehearse 7-10pm Monday-Thursday; and Sunday afternoons from noon to 5pm.

ABOUT THE PLAY: A small town sheriff, the ghost of a brother who died under shadowed circumstances, a forbidden love, and a missing woman weave a tapestry of mystery and deceit in Meadowland. Two brothers, one who chose a more righteous path that led him to become sheriff of their small town, the younger—more rebellious and competitive, who married his brother’s childhood love and then joined the army to find bigger adventures. At the start of the play, the younger brother has already been dead for two years; the exact nature of his death (accident or suicide) remains a mystery. Unwilling to move on from this world, he has proven to be something of a pesky spirit until he brings his brother an unsolved murder: a body in the woods, a missing woman, and a secret that my hold the key to his own unsolved death. But as the inquiry deepens, it becomes clear that the Sheriff is actually the un-named Investigator of Roshomon, and the message the brother is trying to communicate lies closer to heart.
